1. Identifying the Problem
Measuring issues:
Customers find it hard to measure the portions of food they are getting for specific products. The scoops don't have measuring marks and, the stores don't have scales available to the public. Hence, some customers started using their own containers and reusable bags to fix this issue (Reusable container Program).
However, this program was cancelled due to new COVID-19 sanitary regulations until further notice.
Now customers don't have an option to measure the quantity of food.
2. Customer Profile
This store has customers of any kind.
- Young adults or seniors: that want to get bulk groceries at a good price (even though is not common to see seniors).
- Families: that need big amounts of food for everyone and sweets for their kids.
- Environmentally conscious people: that want to reduce their plastic usage by buying large amount of food in the same bag.

3. Value to its Customers
This store might be significantly important to Canadians because it is the largest bulk food retailer with stores across the country. Established in 1982 and it has kept growing since (today Bulk Barn has over 200 stores).
Additionally, they have seasonal and unique items that cannot be found in other food-services stores. Usually, they offer more than 4000 products, and they stay current with their customers' needs.
4. Solution
Design a mobile application that will "scan" the products and measure them.
Special feature: Moreover, by using the app, users could provide information about food allergies, food restrictions, diets etc. This will allow the app to provide notifications or warnings when a product might harm their health. While using the Augmented Reality (AR) feature

Prototype
This prototype intends to provide an extra user experience for Bulk Barn's customers while shopping in the store.
Users will be able to add personal information about their allergies, food restrictions and health conditions. This way, the app will be able to not only provide the weight measurement information about the product but will also alert the user if the ingredients in that product might harm their health.
